Homemade Aloe facial soap

August 4, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

🇬🇧🇳🇴Making homemade soaps is so much fun! And the best part is you get an all natural, toxic free soap – you can decide what ever you want your soaps to contain, what fragrance you prefer (if you prefer any – I actually just like my aloe soap almost fragrance free with just a few drops of lavender for the scent and for the skin)

When you get into soap making you can change up what kind of oils you use for your soap and make all kinds of soaps for hair, body, shampoo, household etc. Just make sure you use a soap calculator when changing up the oils. There are lots of Facebook groups on the topic too that have tons of tips, ideas and free recipes. 😊

Aloe vera facial soap

This soap was designed to be extra gentle and is suitable for use as both a facial and body soap.

It’s a small batch size and you’ll get aprx 4 round soap bars.

If you don’t have fresh aloe, look for bottled aloe vera gel that will work perfectly too.

Ingredients for aloe vera soap ) – 6% superfat

2.5 oz (71 g) water

1.92 oz (55 g) lye (sodium hydroxide

2 oz (57 g) aloe gel

6 oz (170 g) olive oil

3 oz (85 g) coconut oil

2 oz (57 g) sunflower oil (or sweet almond oil)

2 oz (57 g) shea, mango or cocoa butter

1 oz (28 g) castor oil

10 drops lavender essential oil

Directions to make aloe vera soap:

1 Put on goggles and gloves.

2 Weigh the water into a stainless steel or heavy duty plastic container.

3 Weigh the lye into a small cup.

4 Sprinkle the lye into the water and stir well.

5 Cool the lye solution in a safe spot for 30 – 40 minutes, or until about 100 degrees F / 37 degrees Celsius

6 Melt the shea butter and coconut oil, then combine with the remaining oils and essential oil.

7 Use an immersion blender to thoroughly blend the aloe gel into the oils.

8 Pour the cooled lye solution into the warm oils/aloe mixture. (The lye solution and the oils should be aprx same temperature for best results)

9 Use short bursts of the immersion blender to mix until soap reaches trace.

10 Pour soap into molds.

11 Cover lightly with a sheet of wax paper, then a towel or blanket to insulate.

12 Keep the soap in the mold for 1 to 2 days or until easy to remove.

13 Cure the soap in a dry place on sheets of wax paper in the open air for 4+ weeks before using.

71 gram vann

55 g lut (natriumhydroksyd)

57 gram aloe gel

170 g olivenolje

85 gram kokosolje

57 gram solsikkeolje (eller mandelolje)

57 gram shea, mango eller kakaosmør

28 gram castor olje

10 dråper lavendel eterisk olje

beskrivelse for å lage aloe vera såpe:

10 Hell såpemassen i såpeformene
