The best handknit dish cloth

I’ve been out of town this weekend and as I love to have something to knit even when I’m on the go I decided I wanted to bring three skein of cotton yarn and 4 mm needles to knit fast and easy dish clothes.

Good thing about the hand knit dish clothes is that it brings a little luxurious feel to the kitchen and at the same time these clothes are fun to make, they work perfectly and they look good.

Handmade dish cloth.

50 grams Cotton yarn (Ann&Clara 100% cotton 8/8)

Gauge: 20st stockinette st on needles 3,5-4mm = 10 centimetres

Cast on 46 stitches on needle 3,5 or 4 mm

Row 1: slip first stitch on row from left to right needle. Purl 2, knit 1 to end of row.

Row 2: slip first stitch, knit 2, purl 1 to end of row.

Row 3: slip first stitch, knit all stitches to end of row.

Row 4: slip first stitch, purl all stitches to end of row.

Continue these 4 rows until the cloth has an even, square shape.

Bind off.

Don’t cut yarn.

Using a crochet hook, chain 12. Slip stitch 1 in first chain.

Cut yarn and fasten all loose ends.

Hjemmestrikket oppvaskklut.

50g Anna & Clara tykt bomullsgarn fra søstrene grene. (100%cotton 8/8)

Strikkefasthet: 20m glattstrikk på p 3,5-4 = 10 cm

Pinne 3,5-4

Legg opp 46m på pinne 3,5 eller 4

1. Pinne: Løft kantm løst av, strikk deretter 2vr 1 r ut omg.

2. Pinne: (vrangen) løft kantm løst av, strikk deretter 2r 1vr ut pinnen.

3. pinne: løft kantm løst av. Strikk deretter alle m rett ut pinnen.

4. Pinne: løft kantm løst av. Strikk deretter alle m vrang ut pinnen.

Gjenta disse 4 pinnene til kluten har blitt kvadratisk.

Fell løst av. Ikke kutt tråden men hekle 12-14 luftmasker, fest med en kjm i første lm og fest tråden.

Dette blir hempe i kluten slik at den kan henges opp.
