Besides I love the smell of summer rain and the freshness it brings.
The rain didn’t stay for long and soon the sun were back making all the raindrops twinkle like little jewels.
I’ve used the day making this super cute, hippie, daisy head band.
I’ve written the instructions in Norwegian and English so nobody will miss out.
This time the Norwegian instruction is first, so you’ll have to scroll down for English.
Today it turned out my beautiful girl, Sol, (her name actually means sun ☀ or sunshine in Norwegian) had dressed up perfectly for the new headband and we had such fun doing a little photo shoot.
Ok, so without further ado, here is the instructions. You’ll find a step-by-step photo instruction between Norwegian and English instruction.
Heklet hårbånd
Gult bomullsgarn passe til heklenål 3mm
Hvitt bomullsgarn passe til heklenål 3mm
En hårstrikk
Heklenål 3mm
Masker:
Fastmaske fm
Luftmaske lm
Kjedemaske kjm
Start med det gule garnet.
Du hekler først halve blomstene den ene retningen og deretter andre halvdel av blomstene på vei tilbake.
hekle en fm rundt hårstrikken.
Fortsett med 18 lm
Hekle en kjm i 8.lm fra siste lm. Det dannes nå en ring.
Hekle 8lm, fest med en fm i ringen. Hekle en ny fm i ringen og deretter 8 lm. Fest med en fm i ringen. Du har nå to kronblad på blomsten. Hekle 16lm. Hekle en kjm i 8. lm fra kroken. Det dannes en ny ring. Hekle to kronblader slik som i forrige ring.
Fortsett slik med ca 8 blomster til arbeidet (iberegnet strikken) måler ca 53 cm, eller 3 cm kortere enn hodeomkretsen.
Etter siste lm ring med to kronblader hekles 10 lm fest med en fm i hårstrikken. Hekle en ny fm i hårstrikken, snu arbeidet og fortsett med 6 fm rundt luftmaskene i retning de halve blomstene heklet på forrige omg. Hekle en kjm i 4. Lm fra ringen. (Du har nå 6 kronblader på første blomst)
Hekle 4 lm og fest med en fm i ringen. Hekle en ny fm og deretter 8 lm, fest med en fm i ringen. Ny fm og deretter 8 lm, fest med en fm i ringen. Ny fm, 4 lm en kjm i 4.lm på forrige rad, 4 lm fest med en fm i neste ring. Fortsett på samme måten som første blomst.
Fortsett slik til du har 6 kronblader på alle blomstene. Hekle 6fm rundt de siste lm før hårstrikken og fest med en fm i strikken. Klipp tråden og fest godt.
Bytt til det hvite garnet.
Arbeid med halve blomsten hver vei, på samme måten som du gjorde med det gule garnet.
Start med å hekle 5fm rundt de 4 lm i kronbladet nærmest strikken. En kjm mellom de to fm i ringen, 10 fm rundt lm i neste kronblad, 1kjm mellom de to fm i ringen, 10fm rundt lm i neste kronblad, 1 kjm mellom de to fm i ringen, 5 fm rundt de neste 4 lm.
Fortsett på samme måten til motsatt ende av arbeidet.
Snu og hekle 5 fm rundt de 4 lm i kronbladet nærmest strikken, en kjm mellom de to fm i ringen, 10 fm rundt neste lm bue, en kjm mellom de to fm i ringen, 10 fm rundt lm buen, en kjm mellom de to fm i ringen, 5 fm i siste kronblad, en kjm mellom 5. og 6. fm på forrige omg. Du har nå 6 hvite kronblad på første blomst.
Fortsett på samme måten til enden av arbeidet. Klipp av tråden og fest godt.
Bruk gult eller hvitt garn dobbelt og hekle 4 fm rundt hårstrikken slik at den sitter sammen på midten. Klipp av garnet og fest godt.

Crochet flower headband
You won’t need more than a few yards of each color yarn.
Yellow cotton yarn suitable for a 3mm hook
White cotton yarn suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook
A hair rubber band (suitable for ponytail)
A 3mm crochet hook
Stitches used:
Single crochet sc
Slip stitch slst
Chain ch
Start with yellow yarn.
You’ll start working half the flowers one way, turn and then work the other half on next round.
Start with yellow one sc in the rubber band.
Continue ch 18. Counting 8 ch from hook make a slst. You’ll now have a ring.
Ch 8, sc1 in ring.
New 1sc in ring, ch 8, 1 sc in ring. You now have 2 petals of the flower.
New sc in ring, ch 16 slst in eight ch from hook forming a new ring. Continue like previous half flower until you have 8 half flowers, the work (including the rubber band) measures aprx 53 cm or 3cm less than the measurement of the head.
When two petals of your last flower is finished continue ch 10. Fasten with 1sc in the rubber band.
Turn
Make one new sc in the rubber band.
Sc 6 around the first 5 ch from previous round. 1 slst in 4th ch from ring. Ch 4, 1 sc in ring.
1 new sc in ring, ch 8, sc 1 in ring. 1 new sc in ring, ch 8, sc 1 in ring. 1 new sc, ch 4, slst 1 in 4th chain from next ring. You now have your first 6 petal flower.
Continue doing the same all the way to the end of the last flower.
When making the last petal of the last flower sc 6 around the remaining 5 ch and sc 1 in the rubber band.
Bind off.
Using double yarn sc 4 around the middle of the rubber band to hold it together.
Change to the white cotton yarn.
You’ll work half the flower on each round same way you did with the yellow yarn.
Start sc 5 with white yarn around the first ch of the petal closest to the rubber band.
Slst 1 between the two sc in ring, sc 10 around ch in first petal of the flower. 1 slst between the to sc in ring, sc 10 around ch in next petal of the flower, slst between the two sc in ring. Sc 5 around next 4ch.
Continue doing the same all the way to the last flower.
Turn.
Work the other half of the flowers.
Sc 5 around remaining 4lm of the petal closest to the rubber band. 1 slst between the two sc in ring, sc 10 around 8 lm of next petal, one slst between next two sc in ring, sc 10 around 8 lm of next petal, one slst between next two sc in ring, sc 5, slst between 4th and 5th sc of previous round. You now have finished one daisy flower.
Continue same way for the rest of the flowers.
When finishing last petal of the last flower slst and bind off.
Weave in all lose ends.
